Ernest Adelbert Sackett, son of Charles W Sackett and Emma J Bailey, was born in Bellaire, Antrim County, MichiganG, on 7 April 1875.1,2 He died aged 80 in Binghamton, Broome County, New York StateG, on 25 December 1955 and was buried at Kattelville Cemetery, BinghamtonG.6,7,8 He married first in BinghamtonG on 27 February 1901, Myrtle Scism, daughter of Chauncey E Scism and Alice Sanford.3 Myrtle was born in New York StateG in 1880.9 They divorced sometime before 1930 having apparently separated some years earlier (Myrtie was living with her mother Alice and stepfather William Eldred at DeRussey Street by 1920). Myrtle died aged 54 in BinghamtonG on 20 May 19347 and was buried at Chenango Valley Cemetery, BinghamtonG.6 Ernest married second in Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, on 22 April 1936, Anna Conlon, daughter of Peter Conlon and Ellen Butler.4,5 Anna was born in BinghamtonG in 1877.10,11 She died aged 85 in BinghamtonG on 30 September 1962 and was buried at Kattelville CemeteryG.6,12

     Ernest completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 44 and was employed at a manufacturing company. He was living at 50 Court Street, BinghamtonG.16
     In 1930 he was living in Court Street, BinghamtonG, and was recorded as Earnest Sackett, a self-employed painter and paper hanger, aged 53. He was divorced and was a lodger in the household of his future wife Anna Conlon.17
     In 1940 he was living at 78 Pennsylvania Avenue, BinghamtonG, and was recorded as Ernest Sackett, a factory foreman, aged 65. His wife Anna, 60, was living with him.18
     In 1950 he was living in 78 Pennsylvania Avenue, Binghamton, Broome County, New York StateG, and was recorded as Earnest A Sackett, aged 74. His wife Anna, 70, was living with him.19

Ernest's obituary
Ernest D. Sackett of 78 Pennsylvania Avenue died at 9:40 p. m. Sunday at his home. He survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Sackett; two nephews, Charles and William Sackett, all of Binghamton. The body was moved to Frank L. DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, where friends may call today from 7 to 9 p. m.

     Mrs. Myrtle A. Sackett, 55 years old, of 102 Derussey street, died at 7:56 o'clock Sunday night at the Binghamton City hospital, after a long illness. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Alice Eldred of Binghamton; three sisters, Mrs. Addie McCawley of Walker, Ia., Mrs. Nettie Wilmot of Coggin, Ia., and Mrs. Bessie Anderson of Hialeah, Fla; two brothers, George Scism of Brook, Va., and Mallery Scism of Binghamton R.D. 4, and several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the T. O. Watrous funeral home, 206 Vestal avenue. Funeral announcements will be made later.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. George (Katherine) Hemingway, Jamaica, L.I; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of St. John's Church. The body was removed to the Walter D. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 45 Oak St., where the funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at John's Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home this evening at 8:45. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m.

Edward Moses Sackett, son of Thomas Edward Sackett and Mamie Mathews, was born in MissouriG on 12 March 1910.1 He died aged 53 in San Mateo, CaliforniaG, on 28 July 19632 and was buried at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma, San Mateo CountyG.4 Edward Moses Sackett and Irene Watkins had a son, also Edward Moses Sackett, born in August 1929. The elder Edward Moses Sackett may have married Bernice ___ about 1929 (although he described himself as single in the 1940 census.)3 She was born in MissouriG about 1910.3
     In 1910 Edward was living at Call Street, St Louis, MissouriG, in the household of his parents Thomas and Mamie, and was recorded in the census as Edward Sackett, aged one month and born in Missouri.5
     In 1920 he was living at Easton Avenue, St LouisG, in the household of his parents Thomas and Mamie, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, aged nine.6
     In 1930 he was living at Euclid Avenue, St LouisG, and was recorded as Eddie Sackett, a checker in a warehouse, aged 20. He was a lodger in the household of Sidney & Thelma Goshen. A Bernice Sackett, 19, also a lodger, may have been Edward's wife.7

Thomas Edward Sackett, son of Thomas E Sackett and Kathryn Marie "Katie" Royer, was born at 213 Victor Street, St Louis, MissouriG, on 5 September 1891.1,2 He died aged 76 in St LouisG on 2 July 19683,4 and was buried at Calvary Cemetery, St LouisG.7 He married first about 1909, Mamie Mathews.5 They divorced before 1930.5 Mamie was born in MissouriG on 4 October 1889.5,8 She died aged 88 in CaliforniaG on 9 January 19789 and was buried at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma, San Mateo CountyG.7 He married second in St LouisG in November 1934, Betty Lee (Babb) Jordan, daughter of Jasper Babb and Mary Black.6 Betty was born on 14 January 1900.4 She died aged 54 on 5 October 195410 and was buried at Calvary Cemetery, St LouisG, on 8 October 1954.10,7 He married third Ruth M Riddle.7 Ruth was born in ArkansasG on 24 January 1914.8 She died aged 51 at the Homer G Phillips Hospital, St LouisG, on 31 January 1965 and was buried at Calvary Cemetery, St LouisG, on 4 February 1965.7,11
     In 1900 Thomas was living at Morgan Street, St Louis, MissouriG, in the household of his parents Thomas and Katie, and was recorded in the census as Thomas E Sackett, a schoolboy, aged nine and born in Illinois.12
     In 1910 he was living at Call Street, St Louis, MissouriG, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a shoe factory worker, head of household, aged 19. Living with him were his wife Mamie, 20, and their son Edward, aged one month.13
     Thomas was listed in the St Louis, Missouri, City Directory from 1910 to 1914 as a driver, living at 1021 Call Street, St LouisG. In 1916, he was a driver at 1105A Glasgow Avenue, and in 1917 a yardman, living at 2813 Stoddard.14
     Thomas registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917. He was aged 26, employed as a yardman, and was living at 2813 Stoddard Street, St Louis, MissouriG. He was married with two children.15
     In 1920 he was living at Easton Avenue, St LouisG, and was recorded as Thomas E Sackett, a carpenter, head of household, aged 40. Living with him were his wife Mamie, 36, and their children, Edward, 9, and Lea, aged three.16
     In 1929 he was listed as a laborer, and in 1931 a janitor, living at 4257 Gano Avenue, St LouisG.14
     In 1930 he was living at Gano Avenue, St Louis, MissouriG, in the household of his widowed mother Katie, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a laborer, divorced, aged 39.17
     In 1940 he was living at Dodier Street, St LouisG, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a janitor, head of household, aged 49. His wife Betty, 40, was living with him.18
     In 1940 Mamie was living at Hamilton Street, St LouisG, and was recorded as Mamie Sackett, head of household, aged 49, divorced. Her son Edward, 30, was living with her.19
     Thomas completed a World War II draft registration card on 26 April 1942. He was aged 50, employed by a real estate company, and was living at 2527 West Dodier Street, St LouisG, with his wife Bettie Lee.20
