Frank Gordon Sackett, son of Frank Sackett and Clara Jane L Griffiths, was born in Woodford, EssexG, on 1 November 18851,2,3 and baptized there on 6 December 1885.4 He died aged 59 at home at 135 New Church Road, Hove, SussexG, on 18 April 1945.5,6 He married first at St Saviour's, Stoke next Guildford, SurreyG, on 20 March 1909, Alice Harper, daughter of James Harper and Sophie ___.7,8 Alice was born in Hanwell, MiddlesexG, on 12 October 1882.2,3 Frank and Alice were divorced. Alice died aged 89 at the Tower Hospital, Isle of Ely, CambridgeshireG, on 11 April 1972.9,10,11 Frank married second in Birmingham, WarwickshireG, in 1932, Olive M (Trundle) Oliver.12,13,14,15 Olive was born on 7 April 1898.3 After Frank's death, Olive married at Hove, SussexG, in 1950, Charles C Wilson.16
In 1891 Frank was living at Rydalmount, Grove Hill Road, Woodford, EssexG, and was recorded in the census as Frank G Sackett, aged five and born in Woodford, son of Frank Sackett.17
In 1901 he was living at Christ's Hospital School (Boarding), Newgate Street, Barking, LondonG, and was recorded as Frank Gordon Sackett, a scholar, aged 15.18
In 1911 he was living at 35 St Albans Road, Woodford Green, EssexG, and was recorded as Frank Gordon Sackett, an insurance clerk, head of household, aged 26 and born in Woodford. Living with him were his wife Alice, 28, and their son Geoffrey, aged one. James and Sophie Harper, visitors in the household, may have been Alice's parents.19
In 1921 he was living at Oak Grove, Theydon Bois, EssexG, and was recorded as Frank Gordon Sackett, an actuary at the Scottish Metropolitan Insurance Company, head of household, aged 35. Living with him were his wife Alice, 38, and their children, Geoffrey, 11, and Helen, aged nine.20
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Frank and his second wife, Olive, were living at Compton, High Street, Ninfield nr. Battle, Hailsham, SussexG. Frank was a retired actuary.21 Frank's first wife, Alice, was living at 3 & 5 Connaught Avenue, Frinton-on-Sea, EssexG, with her son Geoffrey. She owned a cafe and Geoffrey was the manager.22
Frank left a will which was proved on 20 July 1945 by his daughter (Helen) Margaret and by "Alice Sackett single woman" who has not been identified. His estate was valued at £2,247.23
