     In 1911 Geoffrey was living at 35 St Albans Road, Woodford Green, EssexG, in the household of his parents Frank and Alice, and was recorded in the census as Geoffrey Gordon Sackett, aged one and born in Woodford.6
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Geoffrey was living 3 & 5 Connaught Avenue, Frinton-on-Sea, EssexG, with his mother Alice. He was the manager of his mother's cafe.7
