Anna Lawrence, daughter of John Lawrence and Patience Sackett, was born on 21 November 1731.1,2 She died aged 66 on 11 April 1798 and was buried at the Lawrence Cemetery, Astoria, Queens County, New York StateG.3,4,5 She married in NewtownG on 14 February 1748/49, William Sackett, her first cousin, son of John Sackett and Susanna Field.6,2
     The inscription on Anna's gravestone reads
Inscribed to perpetuate the remembrance of Anna Sackett, wife of William Sackett, who died the 11th April Anna Domini 1798; aged 66 years, 4 months & 21 days.
"She was her husband's fond companion, her children's tender & careful parent, & the friend & support to the needy. Reader! Art though prepared to follow."
