He died aged 82 in Madelia, Watonwan County, MinnesotaG, on 9 May 1909 and was buried at Janesville Cemetery, Janesville, Waseca County, MinnesotaG.3 He married about 1866, Elizabeth Bowman.1 Elizabeth was born in IndianaG on 18 November 1834.1,2 She died aged 74 in MadeliaG on 12 May 1909 and was buried at Janesville CemeteryG.3
     In 1860 Simon was living in Roscoe, Goodhue County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded in the census as Simon Sackett, a farmer, aged 30 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 26, and their children, Eugene, 3, and Albert, aged one.4
     In 1900 he was living in Madelia, Watonwan County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded as Simon Sackett, aged 73. His wife Elizabeth, 65, was living with him.5

Bodies Will Arrive Tomorrow

At eleven o'clock today word is received by telephone announcing the death of Mrs. Simon Sackett at Madelia. The death of her husband was announced yesterday. Following so closely together will necessitate a double funeral to take place tomorrow morning. The remains will be brought to this place tomorrow at two o'clock for interment. Members of the Eastern Star are requested to be at the depot and accompany the mourners to this cemetery.

     Janesville, Minn., May 15.—An impressive funeral was conducted here today when the bodies of Simon Sackett and his wife were buried side by side. They were old residents of Janesville, but for the past few years had lived at Madelia, at which place they died from disorders incident to old age. Mr. Sackett was 82 and his wife a few years his junior.

She married in Boston, Suffolk County, MassachusettsG, on 23 July 1906, Thomas Joseph Sullivan, son of Thomas Sullivan and Catherine Fitzgerald.3 Thomas was born in Agawam, Hampden CountyG, on 30 June 1874.1,4 He died aged 74 in Springfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 27 September 1948.5

     Thomas J. Sullivan, 74, of 2142 Main St. died Monday at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Mittineague and was for 56 years a conductor on the Boston & Albany Railroad, retiring 2½ years ago. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Edith Gordon of Wethersfield, Conn. The funeral will be held at Byron's funeral home Wednesday morning 8.15. Requiem high mass will follow in Sacred Heart Church at 9.
