Charles B Sackett, son of Roland P Sackett and Mary Ann Curtiss, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 30 April 1871.¹
     In 1880 Charles was living at 90 Russell Road, Westfield^G, in the household of his parents Roland and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Charles B Sackett, aged nine and born in Massachusetts.²
     In 1900 he was living in Westfield^G in the household of his widowed mother Mary, and was recorded as Chas B Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 29.³
     Charles was left the family farm and the residue of her personal estate after payments of $5 to each of his siblings in his mother Mary Ann's will proved on 2 September 1908.⁴

Ellen Amanda Sackett, daughter of Roland Sacket and Sarah "Sally" Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, about 1824.¹ She died there aged 51 on 6 August 1875 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G.^3,4 She married in Westfield^G on 7 August 1854, Ephraim Wells, son of Russell Wells.² Ephraim was born in Bloomfield, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, about 1826.⁵ He died aged about 73 on 27 April 1900 and was buried at Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, Clay County, Nebraska^G.⁴

Emerson Sackett, son of Roland P Sackett and Mary Ann Curtiss, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, in November 1848.¹ He died aged about 64 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, on 16 November 1912.^2,3 He married first before 1874, Fidelia ___.^1,4 Fidelia was born in New York State^G. In 1888, a Fidelia N Sackett, presumably this Fidelia, was charged before the Springfield Court with adultery. She was named twice in the Grand Jury Report, pleading not guilty as Fidelia N Sackett of Westfield, and defaulting, presumably meaning failing to appear, as Fidelia N Sackett of Chicopee.⁶ He married second about 1892, Catherine "Kate" Hoye.^1,5 Catherine was born in England^G in August 1860.¹ She died aged 52 in Hartford^G on 10 December 1912.²
     In 1860 Emerson was living in Westfield^G in the household of his parents Roland and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Emerson Sacket, aged eleven and born in Massachusetts.⁷
     In 1880 he was living in Westfield^G and was recorded as Emerson Sackett, a laborer, aged 32. He was boarding in the household of Henry and Eliza Harris.⁸
     In 1900 he was living in Hartford^G and was recorded as Emerson Sacket, a carpenter, aged 51. Living with him were his wife Kate, 39, and their daughter Rosa, aged seven. A "daughter", Etta Doney, aged 14, also in the household, was presumably Kate's daughter from a previous marriage.⁹
     Emerson was left a sum of $5 in his mother Mary Ann's will proved on 2 September 1908.¹⁰
     In 1910 he was living in Hartford^G and was recorded as Emmerson Sackett, a carpenter, aged 61. Living with him were his wife Kate, 49, their daughter Rosana, 16, and another "daughter", Hester, 24, who would be Kate's daughter Etta from her first marriage.¹¹

Frederick R Sackett, son of Roland P Sackett and Mary Ann Curtiss, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 31 January 1851.¹ He died there aged 75 on 19 March 1926.^2,3
     In 1860 Frederick was living in Westfield^G in the household of his parents Roland and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Frederick B Sacket, aged nine and born in Massachusetts.⁴
     In 1900 he was living at 25 Western Avenue, Westfield^G, and was recorded as Fredk R Sackett, a day laborer, aged 49. He was living with a cousin, Persis Barnes, 61.⁵ Some years earlier, in 1888, Frederick and Persis had been charged with adultery and unlawful cohabitation before the Springfield Court. They were reported to have defaulted, presumably meaning they had failed to appear to answer the charge.⁶
     Frederick was left a sum of $5 in his mother Mary Ann's will proved on 2 September 1908.⁷
     In 1910 he was living in Westfield^G and was recorded as Fred R Sackett, a laborer, aged 58. He was a lodger in the household of Persis Barnes. His brother Richard was living next door.⁸

Marilla L Sackett, daughter of Roland Sacket and Sarah "Sally" Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, about 1834.^1,2 She died on 9 August 1883³ and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.³ She married in Westfield^G on 2 February 1862, John G Hale, son of ___ Hale and Mary A ___.² John was born in Suffield, Connecticut^G, about 1838.²
     In 1850 Marilla was living in Westfield^G in the household of her parents Roland and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Marilla Sacket, aged 17 and born in Massachusetts.⁴
     In 1855 she was living in Westfield^G in the household of her parents Roland and Sarah, and was recorded as Morilla Sackett, aged 21.⁵
     Marilla was named as a beneficiary in the will of her father Roland made in Westfield^G on 2 May 1882. She was to receive a sum of $100 from her brother Ashmon who was to inherit the estate.⁶

Rachael Sackett, daughter of Roland Sacket and Sarah "Sally" Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, in 1813.^1,2 She died there aged 37 on 17 December 1850 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.⁵ She married in Westfield^G on 11 October 1843, Jeremiah Barnes.^3,4 Jeremiah was born in Southampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts^G.²

Richard Sackett, son of Roland Sacket and Sarah "Sally" Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, about 1827.^1,2 He died there on 19 February 1855 from a gunshot. He was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G.^3,4,5
     In 1850 Richard was living in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee^G, and was recorded in the census as Richard Sackett, a plasterer, aged 23 and born in Massachusetts. He was living in a large household of building construction workers.⁶
     Richard's father Roland was appointed administrator of Richard's estate by the Westfield Probate Court on 20 March 1855. The signing of the documentation was witnessed by Richard's brothers Ashman and Augustus. An inventory of Richard's estate was made on 11 June 1855 valuing his personal estate at $25.⁷

Roland P Sackett, son of Roland Sacket and Sarah "Sally" Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 15 April 1819.^1,2 He died there aged 65 on 20 May 1884 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.^4,5 He married in Canton, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, on 1 December 1844, Mary Ann Curtiss, daughter of John L Curtiss and Mary Case.³ Mary was born in Connecticut^G on 9 April 1830.^1,6 She died in Westfield^G on 3 July 1908 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.^7,5

     Roland's widow Mary Ann left a will which was submitted to the Hampden County Probate Court on 2 September 1908. Her son Charles was to inherit the family farm and the residue of Mary Ann's personal estate after bequests of $5 to each of her other children. Frederic A Ballou was appointed executor.¹¹

Herbert H Sackett, son of Herbert Lyman Sackett and Fannie N Sackett, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 8 August 1889.¹ He married in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York State^G, on 20 June 1910, Jennetta Dean, daughter of Allen H Dean and Lillian A Gibbs.² Jennetta was born in Westfield^G about 1890.³
     In 1900 Herbert was living at 34 Prospect Street, Westfield^G, in the household of his parents Herbert and Fannie, and was recorded in the census as Herbert H Sackett, a schoolboy, aged ten and born in Massachusetts.⁴
     In 1930 he was living at 15 Cedar Street, Springfield, Hampden County^G, and was recorded as Herbert H Sackett, a bookkeeper at a bank, aged 40. Living with him were his wife Jennetta, 39, and their children, Janet, 16, Ruth, 9, and Russell, aged eight.⁵
     In 1940 he was living at 114 Rochelle Street, Springfield^G, and was recorded as Herbert H Sackett, a teller at the Safe Deposit & Trust Bank, aged 50. Living with him were his wife Jeanette, 50, and their children, Janet, 26, Ruth, 19, and Russell, 18.⁶
