Harriet Mary Ann Snow, daughter of Richard Snow and Harriet Knight, was born at Bratton Court, Minehead Without, SomersetG, in 18531,2 and baptized at Cutcombe, SomersetG, on 31 December 1853.2 She died aged 71 at home at Warwick House, Minehead, SomersetG, on 31 March 1925.3 She married at Barton Regis, GloucestershireG, in 1877, Humphrey Thomas Martin Crowther Gwynn, son of John Crowther Gwynn and Maria Brookes.4,5
In 1861 Harriet was living at Dean House, Bishop's Lydeard, SomersetG, in the household of her parents Richard and Harriet, and was recorded in the census as Harriet Mary Ann Snow, a scholar, aged seven and born in Minehead.6
In 1871 she was living at 15 White Ladies Road, Clifton, BristolG, in the household of her stepfather George Bryant, and was recorded as Harriet M A Snow, a scholar, aged 17, and born in Bratton Minehead, Somerset.7
In 1881 she was living at 35 Cornwallis Crescent, Clifton, Bristol, GloucestershireG, in the household of her husband Humphrey, 27, a solicitor, and was recorded as Harriet M A Gwynn, aged 27 and born in Minehead, Somerset. Living with them were their children, Elsie, 2, Gerald, 1, and Reginald, aged eight months. Also in the household were three female domestic servants: a nurse, a cook,and a parlour-maid.8
In 1891 she was living at 18 Canynge Road, Clifton, BristolG, in the household of her husband Humphrey, 37, a solicitor, and was recorded as Harriet M A Gwynn, aged 37 and born in Minehead. Living with them were their children, Elsie, 12, Gerald, 11, Reginald, 10, and Humphrey, aged nine. Also in the household was a visitor, Arthur Purnell, aged eight. There were four female servants: a nurse, parlour-maid, housemaid, and cook (although the cook was described as "not domestic").9
In 1901 she was living at 18 Canynge Road, Clifton, BristolG, in the household of her husband Humphrey, 47, a solicitor, and was recorded as Harriet M A Gwynn, aged 47 and born in Minehead. Liivng with them were their children, Elsie, 22, and Humphrey, 19. Also in the household were two male boarders and four female servants: a lady's maid, cook, parlour-maid, and housemaid.10
Harriet proved her husband Humphrey's will at BristolG on 11 December 1908. The value of the estate was £31,800.11
In 1911 she was living at 18 Canynge Road, Clifton, BristolG, and was recorded as Harriet Mary Ann Gwynn, of private means, head of household, a widow, aged 57 and born at Bratton Court, Minehead. Living with her was her unmarried son Humphrey, 29, a solicitor. Also in the household were three female servants: a cook, housekeeper, and parlour-maid.12
Harriet's will was proved in LondonG on 17 June 1925 by her sons, Gerald, an army major, and Humphrey, a solicitor. Her estate was valued at £17,000.13

Richard Snow was born in Cutcombe, SomersetG, about 1822.1 He died aged 44 in Clifton, BristolG, in 1867.2 He married in Williton, SomersetG, in 1852, Harriet Knight.3,4
