Susan Elizabeth Bush, daughter of Isaac W Bush and Olive Peggs, was born in Turin, Lewis County, New York State^G, on 4 March 1836.^1,2,3,4 She died aged 70 in Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York State^G, on 12 March 1906^2,5 and was buried at Lowville Rural Cemetery^G.^7,4 She married in Lewis County^G on 15 September 1859, Martin James Sackett, her fifth cousin, son of Gad Sheldon Sacket and Elmina Miller.⁶

Abigail Sackett, daughter of Joel Sacket and Abigail Sheldon, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 27 April 1809^1,2 and baptized at the Church of Christ, Westfield^G, on 2 July 1809.³ She died aged 70 in West Springfield, Hampden County^G, on 16 March 1880 and was buried at Paucatuck Cemetery, West Springfield^G.^5,2 She married about 1833, Algernon Sidney Smith, widower of Abigail's sister Clarissa.⁴ Algernon was born in Massachusetts^G about 1796.⁶ He died on 27 November 1860.⁴
     In 1850 Abigail was living in West Springfield^G in the household of her husband Algernon Smith, 54, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Abigail Smith, aged 40. Living with them were Algernon's children, Ralph, 23, and Elbridge, 21, by his marriage to Abigail's sister Clarissa, and Algernon and Abigail's children, Algernon, 15, Daniel, 13, Lucy, 8, and Samuel, aged four.⁷
     In 1860 she was living in West Springfield^G in the household of her husband Algernon, 64, a farmer, and was recorded as Abigal S Smith, aged 63 [actually 51]. Living with them were their children, Algernon Jr, 27, Daniel, 23, Lucy, 19, and Samuel, aged 14.⁸

Clarissa Sacket, daughter of Joel Sacket and Abigail Sheldon, was baptized at the Church of Christ, Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 24 February 1805.¹ She died in West Springfield, Hampden County^G, on 5 April 1832.² She married Algernon Sidney Smith.² Algernon was born in Massachusetts^G about 1796.³ After Clarissa'a death, Algernon married her sister Abigail.

Samuel Bancroft Sackett, son of Stephen Sacket Jr and Hannah Bancroft, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 5 December 1799.¹ He was baptized at the Church of Christ, Westfield^G, on 1 September 1805.² He died aged about 39 in Fowler, Trumbull County, Ohio^G, in 1839 and was buried at North Cemetery, Fowler^G.⁴ He married first in Becket, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G, in 1818, Philena Electa Merryfield, daughter of Thomas Merryfield and Eunice Watkins.³ She died in Fowler^G in September 1823 and was buried at North Cemetery, Fowler^G.⁴ He married second in 1824, Vesta ___.⁴ Vesta was born in Massachusetts^G about 1805.⁵ She died in Ohio^G on 12 January 1851 and was buried at North Cemetery, Fowler^G.⁴
     Samuel was assessed for tax on two cattle valued at $16 in Fowler^G in 1831.⁶
     Samuel's widow Vesta was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Fowler^G.⁷
     In 1850 she was living in Fowler^G and was recorded as Vesta Sackett, aged 45 and born in Massachusetts. Her children, Almon, 20, and Jane, 12, were living with her.⁸
