Annie Sackett, daughter of Jabez Sackett and Sarah Anne "Annie" Young, was born in Woodchurch, KentG, on 5 February 1870.1,2 She died aged 72 in Brentford, MiddlesexG, in April 1942.3,4 She married in Hull, YorkshireG, on 8 November 1889, Joseph Fox Marr, son of Robert Marr and Emma King.5,6 Joseph was born in Bridlington, YorkshireG, on 14 June 18697,8 and died aged 74 in BrentfordG in 1943.9
     In 1871 Annie was living at High Street, Elham, KentG, in the household of her parents Jabez and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Annie Sackett, aged one and born at Woodchurch, Kent.10
     In 1881 she was living at North Gate, Walkington, YorkshireG, in the household of her parents Jabez and Sarah, and was recorded as Annie Sackett, a scholar, aged 11 and born in Woodchurch, Kent.11
     In 1891 she was living at 41½ Paisley Street, Hull, YorkshireG, in the household of her husband Joseph Marr, a shipowner's clerk, and was recorded as Annie Marr, aged 21, and born in Woodchurch, Kent. Living with Joseph and Annie was their son Leonard, aged one month, and born in Hull.12
     In 1901 she was living at Victoria Avenue, St Sampson's, GuernseyG, in the household of her husband Joseph, 31, a life insurance agent, and was recorded as Annie Marr, aged 31 and born in England. Living with them were their children, Leonard, 10, Elsie, 9, Charles, 7, and Sidney, aged four.13
     In 1911 she was living at 4 Albion Terrace, Vale Road, St Sampson'sG, and was recorded as Annie Marr, a housewife, head of household, aged 41 and born in Woodchurch. Living with her were her children, Leonard, 20, Elsie, 19, Charles, 17, and Sidney, aged 14.14
     In 1921 she was living at 2 Paris Street, St Peter Port, GuernseyG, and was recorded as Annie Marr, head of household, married, aged 51. Her widowed father Jabez Sackett, 80, was living with her. Annie's son Sidney was listed but the entry was then deleted. He was a visitor in the household of his future wife Florence Barnes.15
