Samuel Sackett, son of Samuel Sackett MD and Sarah Manning, was born at George's Creek, Fayette County, PennsylvaniaG, on 20 September 1795.1,2 He died aged 64 on 27 April 18601 and was buried at Oak Hill Baptist Cemetery, Old Frame, Fayette CountyG.3 He married in 1831, Priscilla Caldwell, daughter of William Caldwell and Rachel Cross.1 Priscilla was born in PennsylvaniaG on 24 July 1811.3 She died aged 70 on 27 April 1882 and was buried at Oak Hill Baptist CemeteryG.3
In 1850 Samuel was living in Nicholson, Fayette County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sackett, a farmer, aged 53 and born in Pennsylvania. Living with him were his wife Priscilla, 41, and their children, Alexander, 17, William, 15, Lucinda, 13, Elizabeth, 11, and Louisa, aged seven.4
In 1850 Samuel was living in Nicholson, Fayette County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sackett, a farmer, aged 53 and born in Pennsylvania.
