Russell R Sackett, farmer, son of Lieutenant Martin Sacket and Miriam Bancroft, was born in New York StateG on 23 May 1819.1,2 He died aged 64 on 12 May 1884.1 He married in 1842, Deborah Brown, daughter of Pardon Brown and Mary Sheldon.1 Deborah was born in New York StateG in about 1817.2
In 1850 Russell was living in Plymouth, Chenango County, New York StateG, and was recorded in the census as Rusel Sackett, farmer, married, aged 31 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Deborah, 33, and their children, Julia, 5, and Celestia, aged three.3
In 1860 he was living in Plymouth, Chenango County, New York StateG, and was recorded as Russell R Sackett, a farmer, aged 41. Living with him were his wife Deborah, 43, and their children, Adeline, 15, Celestia, 13, Martin, 7, and twins Frederick, and Francis, aged one.4
In 1870 he was living in PlymouthG and was recorded as Russell R Sackett, a farmer, aged 51. Living with him were his wife Deborah, 48, and their children, Adaline, 25, Martin, 17, and twins Fred and Frank, aged eleven.5
In 1880 he was living in PlymouthG and was recorded as Rusell R Sackett, farmer, head of household, married, aged 61. Living with him were his wife Deborah, 63, and their unmarried children, Julia, 35, Fred, 21, and Frank, aged 21. Also in the household was a female domestic servant.6
