Frederick Brown Sackett, merchant, son of Russell R Sackett and Deborah Brown, was born in South Plymouth, Chenango County, New York StateG, on 31 May 1859.1,2 He died aged 80 on 19 February 19403 and was buried at the Masonic Cemetery, Albany, Linn County, OregonG.3 He married on 7 September 1887, Hattie Ermina Schenck, daughter of Marcus P Schenck and Louisa E Jones.1 Hattie was born in Fulton, Oswego County, New York StateG, in September 1866.4,2

Schenck and Louisa E. Jones. He was, in 1907, conducting a general merchandise business at Salem, Oregon.

Judge Sackett Dies at Home
McMinnville, Feb. 16—Judge Fred B. Sackett, 90, died Friday morning at his home here after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M. Sunday. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery at Albany at 10:30 A. M. Monday.
Mr. Sackett had resided here since 1925 when he was elected judge of Yamhill county. serving six years. Previously he had been in the general merchandise business at Sheridan, Coburg and Jefferson.
New York Birthplace
Judge Sackett was born May 31, 1859 at South Plymouth, N. Y. He came to Oregon in 1890, living for a time at Granger, between Albany and Corvallis. He was educated at Cazenovia seminary and Syracuse university, New York.
He was married at Fulton, N. Y., September 7, 1887, to Hattie Ermina Schenck, who died in 1833. Six children were born to them, three of whom survive: Leland R. Sackett, Sheridan; Vernon M. Sackett, Salem; Sheldon F. Sackett, Marshfield.
Judge Sackett was a faithful member of the Methodist church and of the Masonic, Odd Fellows and W.O.W. lodges.
At Sheridan he served for a time as justice of the peace and was for many years a committeeman of the republican party.
