Heman Sackett, whip maker, son of Moses Sacket and Eunice Cadwell, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 30 September 1783.1,2,3 He died there aged 67 on 7 January 18513,4,5 and was buried at the Old Burying Ground, WestfieldG.6 He married in WestfieldG on 25 November 1807, Experience Searle.3,7,8 She was born in Granby, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, in about February 1788.9 She died aged 85 in WestfieldG on 5 August 187310 and was buried at the Old Burying Ground, WestfieldG.6
     Heman was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in WestfieldG on 17 April 1812. He had already been provided for by his father, presumably in the form of land. He was left an amount of $120 (his brothers Erastus and Israel, not previously provided for, were left $800 each.)11
     Heman was listed in the census in 1820 and 1830 as a householder in WestfieldG.12,13
     In 1850 Heman was living in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, and was recorded in the census as Heman Sacket, a whip maker, aged 65 and born in Massachusetts. Living with him was his wife Experience, aged 61.14
     In 1860 Heman's widow Experience was living in WestfieldG and was recorded in the census as Experience Sacket, aged 72.15
     In 1870 she was living in WestfieldG in the household of her son George, and was recorded as Experiance Sackett, aged 82.16
