Zayde Eliza Thorne Sackett, daughter of Hon William Augustus Sackett and Zayde Eliza Thorne, was born in Seneca Falls, Seneca County, New York State^G, on 31 July 1837.^1,2 She died aged 42 in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York State^G, on 21 February 1880 and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse^G.^2,3 She married John Adolphus Lighthall, son of William Abram Lighthall and Sally Ann Meigs.¹ John was born in Albany, Albany County, New York State^G, on 8 September 1833.³ He died aged 84 in Syracuse^G on 16 February 1918 and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse^G.³
     In 1850 Zayde was living in Seneca Falls^G in the household of her father William and stepmother Charlotte, and was recorded in the census as Zayde Sackett, aged thirteen and born in New York.⁴
     Zayde predeceased her father William, but her children were remembered in his will made at Saratoga Springs^G on 11 April 1889. They were not named in the will but were named as John A, William S, Zayde E, and Frederick A, Lighthill in the probate proceedings. They were to share an inheritance of one-fifth of their grandfather's estate.⁵

Salmon E Platt, son of James Platt and Mercy Matilda Sackett, was born in Ohio^G in 1823.^1,2 He died aged about 70 in 1893.¹ He married first about 1846, Sarah S ___.³ Sarah was born in Ohio^G about 1827.³ He married second about 1858, Mary Ann Harvey.⁴ Mary was born in Ohio^G about 1830.³
     In 1850 Salmon was living in Bowne, Kent County, Michigan^G, in the household of his mother Mercy, and was recorded in the census as Salmon E Platt, a farmer, aged 27 and born in Ohio. His wife Sarah, 23, and daughter Rosalthe, aged three, were living with him.⁵
     In 1880 Salmon was living at Campbell, Ionia County, Michigan^G, and was recorded in the census as Solomon Platt, head of household, a farmer, aged 58 and born in Ohio. Living with him were his wife Mary, aged 50, and his children, Charles, 21, Hattie, 19, and Eva, aged 13.²

Eva Orpha Platt, daughter of Salmon E Platt and Mary Ann Harvey, was born in Michigan^G in 1867.^1,2 She died in 1951.¹ She married William R Cutler.
     In 1880 Eva was living at Campbell, Ionia County, Michigan^G, and was recorded in the census as Eva Platt, a schoolgirl, aged 13 and born in Michigan, daughter of Solomon Platt.²

Homer Lewis Cutler, son of William R Cutler and Eva Orpha Platt, was born in 1895.¹ He died in 1994.¹ He married Grace A Snyder.
