Joseph L Sackett, son of John Sackett and Mary McEaheron, was born in PennsylvaniaG on 8 February 1827.1 He died aged 80 in Buckingham, Bucks County, PennsylvaniaG, on 7 March 1907 and was buried at Forest Grove Cemetery, Forest Grove, Bucks CountyG.2,3
     In 1850 Joseph was living in BuckinghamG in the household of his parents John and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Joseph L Sackett, a farmer, aged 23 and born in Pennsylvania.4
     John was named as the occupier of his father's 100-acre farm in BuckinghamG after his father's death in 1851.5
