Charles F. Sackett, Jr.
Charles F. Sackett, Jr., 87, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.
     Charles was born in Meadville on September 11, 1934, a son of the late Charles F. and Alberta (Watson) Sackett, Sr.
     On January 16, 1960 he married Margaret Ann Ezor; she preceded him in death on July 19, 2019.
     Over the years Charles had worked for the former Loblaws for 13 years and in the Engineering Department of the former Talon, Inc. for 13 years. He was a 1952 graduate of Meadville High School. Charles entered the US Army on March 13, 1957 and served his country honorably until his discharge on March 12, 1959; he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. For many years Charles enjoyed being a member of the Eat and Travel Club with his wife.
     Charles is survived by a daughter Charlene Tinney (Michael) of Laurel, MD; a son Eric Sackett of Gaithersburg, MD; five grandchildren Brad, Daniel, Victoria, Sean and Matthew.
     In addition to his parents and wife, Margaret, of 59 years, Charles was preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Russ and Charlotte Koeppen.
     Per Charles' request, there will be no visitation or services.
     He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Margaret, in Greendale Cemetery.
     Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 404 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

Margaret Ann Sackett, 83, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, formerly of Circle West, Meadville passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. Margaret was born in Meadville, on November 22, 1935, a daughter of the late Frederick and Regina (Terry) Ezor. On January 16, 1960 Margaret married Charles F. Sackett, Jr; he survives. She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church.
     Over the years Margaret had worked for the former Loblaws, First District School cafeteria and Wesbury United Methodist Community in food service. She was a 1954 graduate of Meadville High School. Margaret enjoyed doing embroidery, watching TV, animals and being a member of the Eat N Travel Club with her husband.
     In addition to her husband Charles of 59 years, Margaret is survived by a daughter Charlene Tinney (Michael) of Laurel, MD, a son Eric Sackett of Gaithersburg, MD, 5 grandchildren Bradley, Daniel, Victoria, Sean and Matthew.
     Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 10-11 AM at St. Brigid Church Gathering Area, 383 Arch St., Meadville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jeff Lucas, Pastor, officiating.
     Margaret will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
