Frederick Root Mudge, mason, son of Captain Amos Mudge and Lucy Sacket, was born in Broadalbin, Fulton County, New York StateG, on 30 May 17981 and baptized at the First Church, BroadalbinG, in June 1799.2
     In 1850 Frederick was living in Schenectady, Albany County, New York StateG, and was recorded in the census as Frederick Mudge, a mason, aged 50. His sister Sarah, 40, and their mother Lucy, aged 75, were living with him.3
