Boyd McCrea, son of William C McCrea and Lucy L Sackett, was born in Adair County, IowaG, on 21 August 1891.1,2 He died aged 53 in Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG, on 11 February 1945.1
     In 1900 Boyd was living in Grove, Adair County, IowaG, in the household of his parents William and Lucy, and was recorded in the census as Boyd McCrea, aged eight and born in Iowa.3
     In 1910 he was living at East Stella Street, Greenfield, Adair County, IowaG, in the household of his widowed mother Lucy, and was recorded as Boyd McCrea, aged 18.4
