     In 1850 Emanuel was living in Smith, Drew County, ArkansasG, and was recorded in the census as Emanuel Sacket, a farmer, aged 38 and born in Louisiana. Living with him were his wife Mary, 35, and their children, Larkin, 15, Reuben, 14, John, 11, James, 8, William, 6, Mary, 3, and Martha, aged eight months.3
