Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Jeremiah V Sackett and Susan Howell, was born in Tranquility, Sussex County, New JerseyG, on 29 March 1852.1 She married in about 1877, Peter K Martin.2 Peter was born in New JerseyG in April 1850.2
In 1860 Elizabeth was living at West Farms, Westchester County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents Jeremiah and Susan, and was recorded in the census as Elizabeth Sackett, aged nine and born in New Jersey.3
In 1870 she was living in Ross, Cherokee County, KansasG, in the household of her parents Jeremiah and Susan, and was recorded as Elizabeth Sackett, aged 17.4
In 1900 she was living in Beaver, Guthrie County, IowaG, in the household of her husband Peter Martin, 50, a day laborer, and was recorded as Elizabeth Martin, aged 49. Living with them were their children, Gertrude, 20, and Nettie, aged 18, and Elizabeth's widowed mother Susan Sackett, aged 77.5
