Gertrude Sackett, daughter of Jeremiah V Sackett and Susan Howell, was born in New JerseyG in about 18441 and baptized at Flanders Methodist Church, Flanders, Morris County, New JerseyG, on 18 April 1846.2
     In 1850 Gertrude was living in Greene, Sussex County, New JerseyG, in the household of her parents Jeremiah and Susan, and was recorded in the census as Gertrude Sacket, aged six.3
     In 1860 she was living at West Farms, Westchester County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents Jeremiah and Susan, and was recorded as Gertrude Sackett, aged 16 and born in New Jersey.4
