Maxwell H Sacofsky/Sackett, son of Harris Sacofsky/Sackett and Irene ___, was born in Brooklyn, New York CityG, on 9 January 1900.1,2 He died aged 82 in Palm Beach, FloridaG, on 25 November 19823,4 and was buried at Loyalty Lodge Cemetery, Fairfield, ConnecticutG.5 He married first in about 1927, Bertha Kugel, daughter of Samuel Kugel and Lena ___.6 Bertha was born in New Haven, ConnecticutG, in 1903.6,7,8 She died aged about 45 in 1948 and was buried at Loyalty Lodge CemeteryG.5,9 He married second in Manhattan, New York CityG, in 1952, Gertrude S Kugel, daughter of Samuel Kugel and Lena ___, and younger sister of his first wife.10 Gertrude was born in ConnecticutG on 23 April 1906.6,11 She died aged 98 in Scottsdale, Maricopa County, ArizonaG, on 27 February 2005.12
     In 1905 Maxwell was living at Christopher Avenue, Brooklyn, New York CityG, in the household of his parents Harris and Ida, and was recorded in the census as Max Sacofsky, aged five and born in the United States.13
     In 1910 he was living at Beardsley Street, Bridgeport, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of his parents Harris and Irene, and was recorded as Maxwell Sackett, aged ten and born in New York State.14
     Maxwell was listed in the Bridgeport directory from 1918, in the New Haven directory from 1929, and again in Bridgeport from 1932.15
     Maxwell completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 18 and was a bookkeeper living at 314 French Street, BridgeportG, with his mother Irene.16
     In 1920 he was living at French Street, Bridgeport, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of his widowed mother Irene, and was recorded as Max Sackett, a bookkeeper in a cracker bakery, aged 20.17
     In 1930 he was living at Derby Avenue, New Haven, ConnecticutG, and was recorded as Maxwell Sackett, an accountant in a dairy, head of household, aged 30. His wife Bertha, 26, a schoolteacher, was living with him. They rented their home.18
     Maxwell and Bertha visited Bermuda in 1932, returning to New York on the SS Franconia on 22 August.19
     In 1941 Maxwell was a credit manager. He and Bertha were living at 494 West Taft Avenue, BridgeportG.20
     Maxwell completed a World War II young men's draft registration card on 16 February 1942. He was then living in BridgeportG.21
     In 1943 Maxwell was the secretary of The Sunfield Company. In 1949 he was an accountant. He and Bertha were living at 494 West Taft AvenueG.22
