Milton D Sackett, son of James K Sackett and Elizabeth R Robinson, was born in MichiganG on 13 August 1879.1,2 He married in about 1906, Helen Lydia Rouse, daughter of Charles G Rouse and Lydia Motter. Helen was born in Oakdale, Antelope County, NebraskaG, in about 1881.1
     In 1880 Milton was living in BataviaG in the household of his parents James and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Milton B Sackett, aged ten months and born in Michigan.3
     In 1900 he was living in Eureka, Cheyenne County, KansasG, in the household of his parents James and Elizabeth, and was recorded as Milton B Sackett, single, aged 20.4
     In 1910 he was living at Thorp Avenue, Edgemont, Fall River County, South DakotaG, and was recorded as Milton B Sackett, a switchman on the railroad, head of household, aged 30. He rented his home. His wife Helen, 28, was living with him.5
     Milton completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 39 and was a brakeman at a logging company. He was living at Hoquiam, Grays Harbor County, Washington StateG, with his wife Helen.6
     In 1920 he was living at 8th Street, Hoquiam, Grays Harbor County, Washington StateG, and was recorded as Milton D Sackett, a conductor on the railroad, aged 40. Living with him were his wife Helen, 38, and their son Donovan, aged six. They were lodging in a rooming house.7
     Milton and Helen were divorced in the early 1920s. Helen married second in Bellingham, Whatcom County, Washington StateG, on 19 September 1923 Carl Olson.8
     In 1930 he was living in Siletz, Lincoln County, OregonG, and was recorded as Milton D Sackett, a brakeman on a logging railroad, a boarder, aged 51 and divorced.9
