Clarence Alden Sackett, son of Mathew Dunham Sackett and Nancy Ann Ennis, was born in Scotch Grove, Jones County, IowaG, on 26 September 18781,2 and died aged 66 in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, IowaG, on 16 March 1944.1 He married in Scotch GroveG on 18 January 1904, Louise Mary Tritten.1
In 1880 Clarence was living in Scotch Grove, IowaG, in the household of his parents Mathew and Nancy, and was recorded in the census as Clarance A Sackett, aged two and born in Iowa.3
Clarence completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 39 and was a farmer living with his wife Louise at Elton, Langlade County, WisconsinG.2
In 1930 Clarence was living at Englewood Avenue, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, IowaG, and was recorded in the census as Clarence A Sackett, a laborer doing odd jobs, head of household, aged 52. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Louise, 43, and their children, Howard, 19, Robert, 17, Gertrude, 15, Mildred, 14, Lyle, 12, and Juanita, aged one year and ten months.4
