Joseph Larue Sackett, son of Jacob R Sackett and Ann Eliza Brittin, was born in Wrightstown, Bucks County, PennsylvaniaG, in about 1847.2,3 He died aged 36 in Frankford, Philadelphia County, PennsylvaniaG, on 12 July 1883 and was buried at North Cedar Hill Cemetery, PhiladelphiaG, on 14 July 1883.4,5 He married Mary ___. She was born in EnglandG in about 1850.
     In 1850 Joseph was living in Byberry, Philadelphia CountyG, in the household of his parents Jacob and Ann, and was recorded in the census as Joseph Larue Sackett, aged two and born in Pennsylvania.6
     In 1860 he was living in PhiladelphiaG in the household of his parents Jacob and Annie, and was recorded as Joseph Sacket, aged 13.7
     In 1870 he was living in PhiladelphiaG in the household of his parents Jacob and Anna, and was recorded as Joseph L Sacket, aged 23.8
     In 1880 he was living in PhiladelphiaG and was recorded as Joseph Sackett, a tavern keeper, head of household, married, aged 32 and born in Pennsylvania. Living with him were his wife Mary, 29, and children, Joseph, 6, Mary, 4, and Jacob, aged eleven months.9
