Martin Sackett, cooper, son of Enoch Sackett and Rachel ___, was born in New York StateG in about 1808.1 He died aged about 67 in Logan, Dearborn County, IndianaG, on 4 January 1876.2 He married in Dearborn CountyG on 3 April 1834, Sarah Ann Hill.3,4
     Martin was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Logan, Dearborn County, IndianaG.5
     In 1860 Martin was living in LoganG and was recorded in the census as Martin Sacket, a cooper, aged 52 and born in New York. He had personal estate valued at $200. Living with him were his wife Sarah Ann, 44, and their children, Delancy, 23, Mary, 20, Jane, 14, Ann, 13, Lydia, 11, William, 7, and Catharine, aged four.6
