Edward William Sackett, farmer, son of Henry Preston Sackett and Mary Martha Barkley, was born in MinnesotaG on 29 November 1867.1 He died aged 74 in Payette, Payette County, IdahoG, on 28 March 19422 and was buried at Spanish Fork, Utah County, UtahG.2 He married first at Blackfoot, Bingham County, IdahoG, on 12 October 1892, Edith Amelia Powell, daughter of Simeon Comfort Powell and Edith Hannah Cornaby.2 Edith was born in Spanish Fork, Utah County, UtahG, on 21 March 1874.3,4 She died aged 40 on 29 May 1914. He married second on 15 April 1920, Bertha Pass, daughter of Thomas Pass and Euphemie Melen Reid.2
     In 1880 Edward was living at Cawker, Mitchell County, KansasG, in the household of his parents Henry and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Edward Sackett, at home, aged 13 and born in Minnesota.5
     In 1900 he was living in Tucker, Utah County, UtahG, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 31 and born in Minnesota. He owned his home free of mortgage. Living with him were his wife Edith, 26, and their children, Joseph, 5, and Lydia, aged one.6
     In 1910 he was living in TuckerG and was recorded as Edward W Sackett, head of household, aged 41 and born in Minnesota. Living with him were his wife Edith, 35, and their children, Joseph, 15, Lydia, 11, Hannah, 9, Lillian, 7, Clara, 5, Elmer, 3, and Clifford, aged one.7
     In 1920 he was living in Clinton, Utah CountyG, and was recorded as Edd Sackett, a self-employed farmer, head of household, aged 52 and born in Minnesota. He owned his home free of mortgage. Living with him were his second wife Bertha, 29, and his children, Joseph, 25, Hannah, 19, Lillian, 17, Elmer, 13, and Clifford, aged eleven.8
