Elton Sackett, son of Orlin Sackett and Ann Elizabeth Hanscom, was born in Goodhue County, MinnesotaG, on 8 June 1868.2 He died in Nashville Township, Martin County, MinnesotaG, on 23 July 19132 and was buried at Nashville CemeteryG on 25 July 1913. He married in MinnesotaG in about 1887, Nellie Sofia Birch. After Elton's death, Nellie married second, ___ Smith.
In 1870 Elton was living at Roscoe, Goodhue County, MinnesotaG, in the household of his parents Orlin and Ann, and was recorded in the census as Elton Sackett, aged one, and born in Minnesota.3
In 1880 he was living at RoscoeG in the household of his parents Orlin and Ann, and was recorded as Elton Sackett, at home, aged 11 and born in Minnesota.4
In 1900 he was living in Shelby, Blue Earth County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded as Elton Sacket, a farmer, head of household, aged 31. Living with him were his wife Nellie, 31, and their children, Elmer, 12, Willie, 10, Elihu, 8, and Clarence, aged four, and a niece Cora Brown, aged 16.5
