James William Sackett, son of Robert Sackett and Mary Ann Lazell, was born in Dagenham, EssexG, in 18681,2 and baptized there on 23 February 1868.3 He died aged 32 in Billericay, EssexG,4 and was buried at St Peter & St Paul Church, DagenhamG, on 10 February 1901.5 He married in St Peter & St Paul Church, DagenhamG, on 18 February 1893, Louisa Mary Ann Edwards, daughter of Lars Edwards.6,7,8 She was born in Custom House, EssexG, in about 1873. She died aged 619 and was buried at Rippleside Cemetery, Barking, EssexG, on 30 November 1934.10
In 1871 James was living at the Post Office, 6 Bull Street, DagenhamG, in the household of his parents Robert and Mary, and was recorded in the census as James William Sackett, aged four and born in Dagenham.11
In 1881 he was living at the Bull Inn, Bull Street, DagenhamG, in the household of his parents Robert and Mary, and was recorded as James W Sackett, a scholar, aged 13 and born in Dagenham.12
In 1901 James's widow Louisa was living at 40 Creekmouth, St Margaret's, BarkingG, and was recorded in the census as Louisa M A Sackett, head of household, a widow, aged 28, and born at Custom House, Essex. Living with her were her children, James, 7, William, 5, Lily, 4, and Louisa, aged two.13
In 1921 she was living at 40 Lawes Cotts, Creeksmouth, BarkingG, and was recorded as Louisa M A Sackett, a school caretaker, a widow, aged 49. Her son James, 27, was living with her.14
