In 1880 he was living in Drywood, Bourbon County, KansasG, and was recorded as William O Sackett, a farmer, head of household, married, aged 22 and born in Indiana [sic: Illinois]. Living with him were his wife Martha, 20, and their son Charles, aged five months.5

Living with him were his wife Martha, 40, and their children, Charles, 20, Lettie, 19, Bertha, 17, Deborah, 16, Ethel, 14, Clyde, 10, Fontin, 9, Paul, 6, Clarence, 4, and Albert, aged two.6
In 1910 he was living in Drywood, Bourbon County, KansasG, and was recorded as William O Sackett, a self-employed farmer, head of household, aged 52. He owned his farm on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Martha, 50, and their children, Clyde, 19, Fontan, 18, William Paul, 16, Clarence, 14, Albert, 12, Fred, 10, and Harry, aged seven.7
