Asa Alling Sackett, son of Hon Jehial Sackett and Samantha Knapp, was born on 6 January 1813.1 He married Rhoda Green.1
     Asa was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Stanford, Dutchess County, New York StateG.2
     Asa was named in his mother Samantha's will made at StanfordG on 2 October 1844. He and his brother Isaac were each to have half of the real estate, sharing equally the stock and farming utensils.3
