Fred Smith Sackett, son of Robert Sackett and Laura Jane Smith, was born in MichiganG on 7 November 1860.1,2 He married on 11 March 1886, Emma Jane Smith.1
     In 1870 Fred was living in EckfordG in the household of his parents Robert and Laura, and was recorded in the census as Fred Sackett, aged eight.3
