Dorothy Emma "Dolly" Sackett, daughter of William James Sackett and Caroline "Carrie" Wolsey, was born in Camberwell, LondonG, on 24 June 1910.1,2 She died aged 61 in Southend-on-Sea, EssexG, in 1972.3 She married in Lewisham, KentG, in 1940, Herbert F J Pitts.4,5

In 1921 she was living at 379 Albany Road, CamberwellG, in the household of her parents William and Caroline, and was recorded as Dorothy Emma Sackett, aged eleven.7
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Dorothy was living at 79 Camberwell Grove, Camberwell, LondonG. She was an optical lens fitter.8
