Lily Sackett, daughter of Archibald Albert Sackett and Mary Ann Owen, was born in Pontypridd, Glamorgan, WalesG, on 9 December 1913.1,2 She married in PontypriddG in 1934, David B Williams.3 David was born on 19 September 1913.2
In 1921 Lily was living at 93 Gelli Road, Ton Pentre, Rhondda, GlamorganG, in the household of her grandparents John and Agnes Sackett, and was recorded in the census as Lily Sackett, aged seven and born in South Wales.4
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, David and Lily were living at 26 Cherry Avenue, Southall, Middlesex, EnglandG. David was a contractor's labourer.5
