Stanley William Sackett FRCO, ARCM, son of Gilbert "Bertie" Sackett and Mabel Agnes Dawson, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, on 22 October 1914.1,2,3 He died aged 82 on 25 September 1997.4 He married on 4 April 1953, Margaret McKenzie.4
Stanley studied at the Royal Academy of Music and was a fellow of the Royal College of Organists and an associate of the Royal College of Music.5
In 1921 Stanley was living at 8 Salisbury Avenue, RamsgateG, in the household of his parents Gilbert and Mabel, and was recorded in the census as Stanley William Sackett, aged six and born in Ramsgate.6
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Stanley was a musician, living at 8 Salisbury Avenue, RamsgateG, with his mother (Mabel) Agnes, sister Olive and twin brother John.7
