Eva Marshall Sackett, daughter of Frederick Gould Sackett and Mary Jane Marshall, was born in New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York StateG, on 3 January 1893.1,2 She died aged 47 in Tyringham, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 25 January 1940 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, New LebanonG.2,5,6 She married first in Huntersland, Schoharie County, New York StateG, on 20 July 1916, Herbert John Owens II, son of Herbert Owens and Adelaide Davis.3,4 Herbert was born in New York CityG on 10 March 1893.7,8 He died aged 26 in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 22 October 1919.9 She married second in Chatham, Columbia County, New York StateG, on 23 May 1922, Junius Rhoades Stanton, son of Perrin L Stanton and Mary E Rhoades. Junius was born in New Marlborough, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 18 December 1876.8,5 He died aged 69 in Tyringham, Berkshire CountyG, on 9 March 1946 and was buried at Tyringham CemeteryG.5
     In 1900 she was living in New LebanonG in the household of her parents Fred and Mary, and was recorded as Eva Sackett, aged seven and born in New York.10
     In 1910 she was living in New LebanonG in the household of her grandparents George and Clara Marshall, and was recorded as Eva M Sackett, a servant, aged 17.11
     In 1920 she was living in New LebanonG in the household of her sister Maud and brother-in-law Henry Drowne, and was recorded as Eva Owens, a telephone operator, aged 26. Living with her were her children Herbert, 2, and Eugene, aged nine months.12
     In 1930 she was living in TyringhamG in the household of her husband Junius Stanton, 52, a sawyer, and was recorded as Eva M Stanton, aged 37. Living with them were her children, Herbert, 12, and Eugene, 10, by her first marriage, and her and Junius's son Robert, aged five.13

Mrs. Eva Stanton Of Tyringham Dies at Hospital
     New Lebanon, N. Y.,—Mrs. Eva Sackett Stanton, 47, a native of this town, more recently of Tyringham, died this morning at Hillcrest Hospital, Pittsfield, following an operation.
     She was born Jan. 3, 1893, the daughter of Frederick G. Sackett and the late Mittie (Marshall) Sackett. She was twice married, her first husband, Herbert Owens to whom she was wed in 1916 having died in 1921. Later she married Junius Stanton of Tyringham who survives her.
     There are also two sons, Herbert and Eugene Owens, a son, Robert Stanton, her father, two sisters, Mrs. Maude Drowne of New Lebanon, Mrs. Edna Sackett of Pittsfield, Mass., two uncles and an aunt.
     For over 12 years Mrs. Stanton was a telephone operator at West Lebanon.
     Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
     The body has been taken to the Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street.
     Members of the family will meet friends at the funeral home tomorrow afternoon from 2.30 to 4 and tomorrow evening from 7 to 9.

     Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Sackett Stanton will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the Wellington Funeral Home, 220.East Street. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, New Lebanon, N. Y.
     Members of the family will meet friends at the funeral home this afternoon from 2.30 to 4 and tonight from 7 to 9.

Junius Rhoades Stanton
Pittsfield, March 9—Junius Rhoades Stanton, 69, retired member of the lumber firm of Rhoades & Stanton of Sanaan (sic), Ct., died this afternoon at House of Mercy hospital where he had been a patient since Wednesdaay. He was born at Tyringham December, 18, 1876, son of Perrin L. and Mary Rhoades Stanton. He had made his home in recent years at Tyringham, but had been employed as a sawyer for Ralph H. Stanton in Canaan. Survivors are three sons, Lieut. Robert F. of the army air corps now at Edmonton, Can; First Lieut. Eugene O. now in an army hospital at Atlantic City and Tech Sergt. Herbert O., who left here a few days ago for Denver; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Thaddeus M. Wowning of Harlemville, N.Y; three brothers, Percy L. of Tyringham, Frank B. of Putnam, Ct., and Ralph H. of Canaan. The body is at the M.K. (sic) Kelly funeral home at Lee.

Funeral Yesterday
     The funeral of Junius R. Stanton was held yesterday afternoon at 2 at the Union Church and burial was in the Tyringham Cemetery. Rev. Gerald B. Williams officiated at the services. Bearers were Hugo Dean, Chester Van Orman, Frederick Downs, James Costello, Howell Stanard and Roy Heath.
