Mary Eliza Sacket, daughter of Israel Sacket and Lucy Doane, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 7 May 1838.1,2,3 She died aged 34 in Boston, Suffolk County, MassachusettsG, on 29 September 1872 and was buried at Mount Auburn, BostonG.5 She was also commemorated on her husband Henry's gravestone at Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield, Norfolk County, MassachusettsG.6 She married in WestfieldG on 14 October 1856, Henry Richardson Plimpton, son of Leonard Plimpton and Sarah ___.1,4 Henry was born in MassachusettsG in 1820.7,8 He died aged about 71 in 1891.8
     Mary was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made in WestfieldG on 8 April 1844. She was left an amount of two-ninths of the value of the real estate, to be paid to her by her brothers Francis and Charles, who were to inherit the land jointly.9
     In 1850 Mary was living in WestfieldG in the household of her parents Israel and Lucy, and was recorded in the census as Mary Sackett, aged ten and born in Massachusetts.10
     In 1860 Mary was living in BostonG in the household of her husband Henry, 39, a furniture dealer, and was recorded in the census as Mary E Plympton, aged 21. Their son George, aged one, was living with them. There were also two furniture craftsmen in the household.11
     In 1870 she was living in BostonG in the household of her husband Henry, 54, a retired furniture dealer, and was recorded as Mary Plympton, aged 30. Their son George, 10, was living with them.12
     Mary was named as a beneficiary in the will of her brother Charles made in WestfieldG on 3 January 1871. She was to share equally with her sister Harriet in the residue of the estate. In the event, Mary died two months before her brother and her share, some $5,000, was then held in trust by her widower Henry for their children, George and Lucy.9
