John Sacket, son of William Sacket and Lydia Weller, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 28 February 17801,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 14 May 1780.4 He died aged 26 in WestfieldG on 5 January 1807.1,5
     John was named in his father's will made in WestfieldG on 24 January 1797. He was to inherit an equal share of the estate with his five brothers after specific bequests of lands to their two sisters.6
