Jerusha Sacket, daughter of Asher Sacket and Sarah Kellogg, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 23 September 1790.1,2,3 She died aged 60 in Southampton, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, on 9 February 18514 and was buried at Center Cemetery, SouthamptonG.5 She married at the First Church, WestfieldG, on 16 May 1811, Luther Atkins, son of Chauncey Atkins and Margaret Talmage.6,7,8,9 Luther was born in Southington, Hartford County, ConnecticutG, on 21 January 1788. He died aged 82 in SouthamptonG on 5 February 187010 and was buried at Center Cemetery, SouthamptonG.5
In 1850 Jerusha was living in Southampton, Hampshire CountyG, in the household of her husband Luther Atkins, 61, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Jerusha Atkins, aged 60. Living with them were their children, Jane, 34, and Albert, aged 23.11
