Hannah Jane Sackett, daughter of Richard Thomas Sackett and Ann Elizabeth Reed, was born in Stratford, Essex^G, in 1861^1,2 and baptized at All Saints, West Ham, Essex^G, on 18 April 1863.³ She died aged about 81 in Ipswich, Queensland, Australia^G, on 18 March 1943 and was buried at Mount Thompson Memorial Gardens, Brisbane, Queensland^G.^5,6 Hannah emigrated from England to Australia sometime before 1896. She married in Queensland^G on 2 May 1896, George William Daye, son of John Daye and Maria Whitstone Stawell.⁴ George was born in Bray, Berkshire, England^G, in 1870.⁶ He died aged about 80 in Ipswich, Queensland^G, on 7 July 1950 and was buried at Mount Thompson Memorial Gardens, Brisbane^G.⁶
     In 1871 Hannah was living at 11 Carpenter Road, Stratford, West Ham, Essex^G, in the household of her parents Richard and Ann, and was recorded in the census as Hannah Sackett, a scholar, aged nine and born in Stratford, Essex.⁷
     In 1881 she was living at Forest Gate District School, West Ham, Essex^G, and was recorded as Hannah Sackett, a hospital attendant, unmarried, aged 21 and born in Stratford.⁸

Florence Glynn, daughter of William Glynn and Martha Sackett, was born at the British Queen, Wanstead, Essex^G, on 26 November 1869.¹ She died in 1915.² She married at Holy Trinity Church, Barking Road, West Ham, Essex^G, on 29 March 1891, John Timcke, a labourer, son of Henry Timcke.³
