Anna Caroline Sackett, daughter of Friederich Wilhelm Johann Theodor Saegert (Fred Sackett) and Hanna Friederike Marie Luise "Johanna" Pegler/Peglow, was born in Victor, Ontario County, New York StateG, on 6 August 1883.1 She died aged 89 in April 1973 and was buried at Pittsford Cemetery, Pittsford, Monroe CountyG.2,3 She married in PittsfordG on 20 March 1902, John Martin Frederick, known as Martin.4 Martin was born in GermanyG in 1871.5,3 He died aged about 58 in Avon, Livingston County, New York StateG, on 27 August 1929 and was buried at Pittsford CemeteryG.3,6
     In 1892 Anna was living in Mendon, Monroe CountyG, in the household of her parents Fred and Anna, and was recorded in the census as Anna Sackett, aged nine and born in the United States.7
     In 1900 she was living in Macedon, Wayne County, New YorkG, and was recorded as Anna Sackett, aged 16. She was a domestic servant in the household of Bert Durfee, a farmer.8
     In 1910 she was living in MacedonG in the household of her husband Martin Frederick, 38, a farmer, and was recorded as Anna Frederick, aged 26. Living with them were their children, Pearl, 7, Arthur, 5, Grace, 3, and Martha, aged one.9
     In 1920 she was living at Argin Road, Henrietta, Monroe CountyG, in the household of her husband Martin J Fredericks, 49, a farmer, and was recorded as Anna C Fredericks, aged 35. Living with them were their children, Pearl, 17, Arthur, 15, Grace, 13, Pauline, 11, and Chester, aged eight.10
     In 1930 she was living at Gibbert Mill Road, Avon, Livingston County, New York StateG, and was recorded as Anna C Frederick, head of household, aged 46, a widow. Her children, Grace, 23, Pauline, 21, and Chester, 18, were living with her. There was also a farm laborer in the household.11

April 12, 1973, Anna Caroline Frederick, aged 89, of Avon. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Wood and Mrs. Grace Gunn, both of Rochester, and Mrs. Oakley (Pauline) Barnhardt of Avon; two sons, Arthur of Avoca and Chester of Mendon; two brothers, Fred Sackett of Ionia and Carl Sackett of Honeoye Falls; nine grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
     Friends may call Friday 7-9 and Saturday 2-4, 7-9 at the funeral home of Stephenson and Son, Inc., 350 Genesee Street, Avon, where services will be held Sunday at 2:30. Interment, Plttsford Cemetery.
