Harlan John Sackett, son of John Bennett Sackett and Susie A Havlicek, was born in St Paul, Ramsey County, MinnesotaG, on 22 October 1905.1,2 He died aged 77 in Ramsey CountyG on 17 September 1983.3 He married Mary Evelyn Garrett, daughter of Robert Alfred Garrett and Margaret Deason. Mary was born in Manitou, Manitoba, CanadaG, on 15 May 1907.4 She died aged 76 in Ramsey CountyG on 8 August 1983.5,6
     In 1920 Harlan was living at Linnwood Place, St PaulG, in the household of his parents John and Susie, and was recorded in the census as Harlan Sackett, aged 14.7
     In 1930 he was living at South Milton Street, St PaulG, in the household of his parents John and Susie, and was recorded as Harlan J Sackett, secretary to the vice president of a steam railroad company, aged 24.8
     Harlan completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 October 1940. He was aged 34 and was employed by the Northern Pacific Railway Company. He was living at 1240 Lincoln Avenue, St PaulG, with his wife.9
     In 1940 he was living at Lincoln Avenue, St PaulG, and was recorded as Harlan J Sackett, secretary to a railway president, head of household, aged 34. Living with him were his wife Mary E, 32, and their children, Sandra, 5, and Stephen, aged six months.10
     In 1950 he was living at St Clair, St PaulG, and was recorded as Harlan J Sackett, secretary to a railroad company president, head of household, aged 44. Living with him were his wife Evelyn, 41, and their children, Sandra, 15, and Stephen, aged ten.11
