Thomas Chester "Tommy" Sackett, son of Francis M "Frank" Sackett and Emma J "Jennie" Fox, was born in IowaG in November 1889.1 He married in Marion, Linn County, IowaG, on 21 February 1911, Emma Pearson. Emma was born in Mount Pleasant, Green County, WisconsinG, on 6 July 1887.2
In 1900 Thomas was living in Castle Grove, Jones County, IowaG, in the household of his parents Frank and Jennie, and was recorded in the census as Tommie Sackett, aged ten and born in Iowa.3
In 1910 he was living at Sherman Street, Monticello, Jones CountyG, in the household of his widowed sister Nettie, and was recorded as Tommy Sackett, a laborer, aged 19.4
In 1930 Emma, now divorced, was living in Delhi, Delaware County, IowaG. Her children, Lawrence, 18, Orville, 17, and Almeada, 15, were living with her. Also in the household was her brother-in-law Harvey.5
