Duaine Rolland Sackett, son of Phineas Porter Sackett and Emilia Hoffmann, was born on 8 April 1901.1 He died aged 72 in Litchfield, Montgomery County, IllinoisG, on 1 February 1974.1,2 He married in Christian County, IllinoisG, in 1919, Marie Clarice Lawrence, daughter of Agnes ___.1 Marie was born on 26 June 1896.1 She died aged 76 on 23 August 1972.1
In 1930 Duaine was living at North Illinois Avenue, LitchfieldG, and was recorded in the census as Duane Sackett, a self-employed barber, head of household, aged 29. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Marie, 29, their children, Duane Jr, 8, and Darlene, aged one, and Marie's widowed mother Agnes Lawrence, 75.3
In 1940 he was living at Walnut Street, LitchfieldG, and was recorded as Duane Sackett, a self-employed barber, head of household, aged 39. Living with him were his wife Marie, 41, and their children, Duane Jr, 18, Darlene, 11, and Loren, aged six.4
