Charles Clarence Sackett, son of Richard Henry Sackett and Mary Ellen Bosley, was born in Chesterton, Porter County, IndianaG, in about 1869.1,2 He died aged about 68 in Traverse City, Grand Traverse CountyG, on 14 October 19373 and was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Manton, Wexford County, MichiganG.4 He was unmarried.
     In 1870 Charles was living in Westchester, Porter County, IndianaG, in the household of his parents Henry and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sacket, aged one and born in Indiana.5
     In 1880 he was living in WestchesterG in the household of his parents Henry and Mary, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, aged eleven.6
     In 1900 he was living in Cedar Creek, Wexford County, MichiganG, in the household of his father Henry, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a machine hand in a planing mill, aged 28 [probably 31], single.7
     In 1910 he was living at Cedar CreekG in the household of his widowed father Henry, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a teamster at a cast block factory, aged 38 [40], single.8
     In 1920 he was living at Senneth Street, Cedar CreekG, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a teamster in a produce business, head of household, aged 48. His widowed father Henry, 83, was living with him.9
     In 1930 he was living at South Michigan Avenue, Manton, Wexford County, MichiganG, and was recorded as Charles C Sackett, a laborer, head of household, aged 58, single. He owned his home.10

Cadillac—Charles Clarence Sackett, 67, Manton, died Thursday in Traverse City hospital. A heart attack suffered three days ago caused his death.
     Mr. Sackett was born Sept. 2, 1870, in Chesterton, Ind. He moved to Manton with his parents in 1887 and for the last five years he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. H. B. Epelylin [sic] in Manton. He also is survived by two nephews and one niece.
     Services will be held at 2 Sunday at the Muche chapel, Manton, with burial in Manton cemetery.
