Sarah Evelyn Carter, daughter of Ward Carter and Electa Carter, was born on 31 December 1823.1 She died aged 86 in Stockbridge, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 25 November 19102 and was buried at the Old Burying Ground, Warren, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG.2,3 She married on 10 May 1862, Homer Sackett Jr, her first cousin once removed, son of Homer Sackett and Sarah Carter.4,1
     In 1870 she was living in WarrenG in the household of her husband Homer, 69, a retired farmer, and was recorded as Sarah E Sackett, aged 46.5
