Leo Mary Sackett, daughter of Miles Bontoft Sackett and Louisa Harp, was born in Malahide, Elgin County, Ontario, CanadaG, on 25 February 1870.1 She died aged 77 in Detroit, Wayne County, MichiganG, on 3 January 1948.2,3 She married first in DetroitG on 7 August 1888, Charles H Rice, son of Samuel L Rice and Margaret A Sebring.4 Charles was born in MichiganG on 10 October 1862.5,6 They divorced sometime before 1910.6 Charles died aged 69 in Nankin, Wayne CountyG, on 7 February 19327 and was buried at Ogden Zion Cemetery, Blissfield, Lenawee County, MichiganG.8 She married second in Lucas County, OhioG, on 26 November 1919, James Lawrence Fleming, son of Thomas F Fleming and Margaret Hennessey.9 James was born in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York StateG, on 9 July 1876.5 He died aged 50 in DetroitG on 21 April 1927 as a result of a traffic accident when he was struck by a taxi10 and was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, DetroitG.8 Leo married third in Lucas, Richland County, OhioG, on 27 January 1931, Patrick Joseph Haire, son of John Haire and Ellen Judge.11 The marriage was revalidated at Ste Anne French Catholic Church, DetroitG, on 7 December 1934.12 Patrick was born in IrelandG on 1 September 1885.5 He died aged 71 in New York StateG on 9 July 1957.13
     In 1871 Leo was living in Malahide, Elgin County, Ontario, CanadaG, in the household of her parents Miles and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Leo Sackett, aged one and born in Ontario.14
     In 1880 she was living at Frank Street, Adrian, Lenawee County, MichiganG, in the household of her parents Miles and Louisa, and was recorded as Leo Seckett, at school, aged ten.15
     In 1900 she was living near Cavalry Avenue, DetroitG, in the household of her husband Charles Rice, 37, a day laborer, and was recorded as Leo Rice, aged 30.16
     In 1910 she was living at Henry Street, DetroitG, and was recorded as Leo Rice, landlady of a rooming house, divorced, aged 40. There were five roomers in the house.17
     In 1920 Leo was living at Vinewood Avenue, DetroitG, in the household of her husband James L Fleming, 44, a US Mail carrier, and was recorded in the census as Leo Fleming, keeper of a rooming house, aged 49.18
     In 1940 Leo was living at Vinewood Avenue, DetroitG, in the household of her husband Patrick Haire, 55, a mail carrier, and was recorded in the census as Leo Mary Haire, aged 70. There were also four lodgers in the house.19
