Emily Amelia Greenlee, daughter of Samuel Greenlee and Minerva Kezia Sacket, was born in North CarolinaG on 11 June 1829.1,2 She died aged 54 on 29 September 1883.1 She married on 28 October 1856, Dr Christopher Happoldt.1
     In 1850 Emily was living in Morganton, Burke County, North CarolinaG, in the household of her mother Minerva, and was recorded in the census as Emily A Greenlee, aged 21 and born in North Carolina. She owned a six-year-old female slave.3,4
