Russell Pierce Sackett, son of Herbert Irving Sackett and Lillian Gertrude Huck, was born in Buffalo, Erie County, New York StateG, on 4 November 1896.1 He died aged 71 at Pompano Beach, Broward County, FloridaG, on 10 May 19682,3 and was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, Pompano BeachG.4,5 He married first in BuffaloG on 7 September 1929, Louise Elizabeth Scheffler, daughter of Henry H Scheffler and Mary A Frank.6 Louise was born in New York StateG on 23 June 1902.7,8 She died aged 63 at home at 290 SE Fifth Avenue, Pompano BeachG, on 12 August 19659,10 and was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, Pompano BeachG.4,11 He married second in Palm Beach County, FloridaG, in August 1966, Bernice (Reid) Holding, daughter of Rolland Ray Reid and Bessie Olive Williams, and widow of Clarence Edward Holding.12 Bernice was born in IndianaG on 1 November 1898.4 She died aged 88 on 1 July 1987 and was buried at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion County, IndianaG.4
In 1900 Russell was living at Summer Street, BuffaloG, and was recorded in the census as Russell P Sackett, aged three and born in New York. He was living with his mother in the household of her parents, Charles and Mary Huck.13
In 1905 he was living at Brantford Place, BuffaloG, in the household of his father Herbert and stepmother (Herbert's second wife) Lillian, and was recorded as Russell P Sackett, aged eight.14
In 1910 he was living at Brantford Place, BuffaloG, in the household of his father Herbert, and was recorded as Russl P Sckett [sic], aged 13 and born in New York.15
Russell served in the US Army during the First World War. He enlisted at Washington, DCG, on 6 February 1918 and was discharged on 29 August 1919 in the rank of Sergeant.5,16
In 1920 he was living at Brantford Place, BuffaloG, in the household of his father Herbert and stepmother Vera, and was recorded as Russell P Sackett, an electrician, aged 23.17
In 1930 he was living at La Salle Avenue, BuffaloG, and was recorded as Russell P Sackett, secretary of an electrical company, head of household, aged 33. His wife Louise, 27, was living with him.18
Russell was listed in the Buffalo City Directory from 1916. He was involved in his father's electrical business by 1922, first as purchasing agent, and later as vice-president and company secretary. Russell's wife Louise was listed as a technical assistant at the Institute for the Study of Malignant Disease. She was also involved in the famiily electrical business, serving as vice president from 1934, while Russell was secretary and treasurer.19
Russell completed a World War II draft registration card on 26 April 1942. He was aged 45 and was self-employed. He was living at 192 Ruskin Road, Eggertsville, Erie CountyG, with his wife Louise.20

She is survived by her husband, Russell P., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Scheffler, Ft. Lauderdale, and a brother.
