Gertrude Sackett, daughter of John Meserole Sackett and Sarah J Dodge, was born in New York StateG between 1853 and 1854.1 She married in Paterson, Passaic County, New JerseyG, on 7 April 1879, Edward Courter.2 Edward was born in about 1856.3
In 1860 Gertrude was living in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents John and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Gertrude Sackett, aged seven and born in New York.4
In 1870 she was living at Saddle River, Bergen County, New JerseyG, in the household of her parents John and Sarah, and was recorded as Gertrude Sackett, aged 16 and born in New York.5
Gertrude was named as a beneficiary in letters of administration of her father's estate granted at the Bergen County Surrogate's Office, New JerseyG, on 17 January 1878.6
